What We Do

What We Do & Why We Do It

At NetOne Foundation, we believe that education is most powerful when it creates opportunity.

We do more than deliver training. We empower people to build brighter futures through digital skills, innovation, entrepreneurship and employability.

As technology continues to transform economies and societies, digital capability has become essential for employment, business growth and everyday life. Our programmes help individuals develop practical competencies that enable them to participate confidently in Zambia's evolving digital economy.

Everything we do is guided by five core principles:

Practical

Our programmes are designed around real world challenges, employer expectations and hands on learning, ensuring participants graduate with skills they can confidently apply.

Inclusive

We actively create opportunities for women, young people, persons with disabilities and underserved communities, ensuring everyone has equitable access to learning and opportunity.

Safe

Safeguarding, participant wellbeing, dignity, respect and data protection are embedded throughout every programme we deliver.

Evidence Based

We measure outcomes, monitor progress and continuously improve our programmes through data, learning and participant feedback.

Community Centred

We co create solutions with communities, employers and partners, ensuring our programmes remain relevant, responsive and sustainable.

Why We Do It

Skills create opportunity.

We believe that talent, creativity and ambition exist in every community, but access to opportunity is not always equal.

Our work is driven by the conviction that digital skills can transform lives, strengthen communities and contribute to Zambia's national development.

By connecting people with knowledge, practical skills, mentorship and opportunity, we are helping to:

  • Equip women and youth with future ready digital capabilities.
  • Create pathways to meaningful employment and entrepreneurship.
  • Strengthen financial resilience and digital confidence.
  • Foster innovation and lifelong learning.
  • Build stronger, more inclusive and economically resilient communities.

Together with Smart Africa, the Mastercard Foundation, our partners and the communities we serve, NetOne Foundation is building an inclusive digital future where skills create opportunity, innovation drives growth and every individual has the chance to realise their full potential.
